Dear Friend,
During the week of March 3rd – 10th, 2026, we at the Aspen Chabad Jewish Community Center will once again be hosting our now-famous “Golshim L’chaim – Ski to Live” program.
This is where we bring groups of disabled IDF combat veterans over from Israel for a week of physical recreation and inspiration in our beautiful city, highlighted by specialized skiing for the disabled, with customized guidance and gear.
This year’s program will be taking on added significance as we will be hosting individuals who were injured in the heinous attacks of October 7 and its aftermath.
My dear friend, with the horrors of October 7 still fresh in our hearts and minds, this year’s Golshim L’chaim program promises to be a particularly emotional and deeply meaningful one.
As this will give our community an opportunity to show our love and gratitude to our heroes who sacrificed so much, I invite and encourage you and your family to be a part of it.
We are honored to provide these courageous men and women with a much-needed respite from their trauma, offering them a week of healing, camaraderie, and joy—complete with skiing, cozy lodging, delicious kosher meals, and uplifting entertainment.
Here’s how you can make a difference:
- Become a sponsor: Your generous donation will help us make this program a reality. Please use the enclosed form to contribute.
- Join us: We warmly welcome you to participate in one or more communal events with the veterans, such as skiing, Shabbat dinner, or other meaningful gatherings. These experiences leave a lasting impact on all who attend. (A full schedule of events will be available online soon.)
Now, more than ever, it is essential that we unite in support of those who have given so much. I am grateful in advance for your kindness, generosity, and meaningful participation.
With gratitude,
Rabbi Mendel Mintz
